Live, Breath, Train & Suffer The Harshness Of Mountain Life

My name is Alexandre Latour, born and raised on the small island of Mauritius. With 15 years of experience as an internationally active wellness consultant and sports coach, I’ve dedicated my life to pushing human performance to its limits.

A student and lover of the fight game, I’ve always been obsessed with the conditioning and mental toughness required to excel in combat sports. A few years ago, I walked away from a successful career as a freediving instructor in East Africa and chose to relocate to the Himalayas, India, not for business, but for my own personal journey.

I wanted to live and train in the mountains, away from distractions, embracing a raw, disciplined lifestyle where survival itself is a workout.

After witnessing the undeniable rise of Dagestani and other mountain fighters in MMA, I thought the environment I live and train in, combined with my knowledge of conditioning, could be a game-changer for fighters hungry to level up.

That’s how Live High Train High was born.

I created this camp to give fighters a chance to experience what I do daily, to push their limits, build unbreakable cardio, bulletproof lungs, and relentless mental toughness by training at high altitude.

If you’re ready to live, breath, train, suffer the harshness of mountain life, and forge a gas tank that never fades, then Live High Train High is for you.

My Expertise

Yoga

With decades of experience in yoga practice and instruction, I use it as a tool to enhance mobility, flexibility, and recovery for fighters. My approach is about developing functional flexibility, joint resilience, and breath control, key elements for combat sports and high-altitude adaptation.

Breath Training

I incorporate advanced breathing techniques drawn from freediving, pranayama, and sports science to help fighters optimize oxygen efficiency, increase lung capacity, and maintain composure under pressure, whether in a fight or at high altitude.

Breath Holding

With an elite freediving background, I have developed CO₂ tolerance and oxygen utilization techniques to strengthen the respiratory muscles, improves anaerobic endurance, and conditions fighters to stay composed even when gasping for air, critical for grappling, high-intensity exchanges, and five-round wars.

Calisthenics

Bodyweight mastery is the foundation of raw, functional strength. I emphasize functional calisthenics, isometric holds, and mountain-based endurance drills to develop bulletproof joints, fight-specific strength, and total-body control, without the need for heavy weights.

Boxing & Muay Thai

With experience in boxing and Muay Thai, I focus on refining efficient striking mechanics, footwork, and endurance. My approach prioritizes technical precision, defensive awareness, and the ability to maintain power and movement deep into a fight, or under the fatigue of high-altitude training.

Mental Training

Mental toughness separates good fighters from great ones. My approach to mind training integrates sports psychology, visualization, and high-altitude resilience drills to sharpen focus, push through suffering, and develop an unbreakable mindset, so you can stay calm under fire and never break in a fight.

Sleep Training

Sleep is an underrated performance enhancer. I specialize in optimizing sleep quality, circadian rhythm alignment, and recovery protocols to ensure fighters wake up fully restored and primed for peak performance. Using breath control, relaxation techniques, and sleep tracking, I help athletes maximize deep sleep, hormonal balance, and overnight recovery.

Nutrition & Supplementation

Fueling the body correctly is just as important as training. My expertise in performance nutrition and supplementation focuses on enhancing endurance, recovery, and altitude adaptation. I provide fight-specific dietary strategies, hydration protocols, and natural supplementation guidance to ensure fighters operate at maximum efficiency, both in camp and in competition.
